hood?

hi i have a 1967 jeepster commando 1/2 cab v6 my question is the hood has a small cut out appx. 2 inch dia. on the passanger side of the hood.what year hood is it
and what did it go on.thank you for your time

Looks like that may have been for a snorkel.

Yep, I found this other web site that says "The CJ5 hood was the same as the M38A1, with a cutout on the right side (60K JPEG) for accommodating a snorkel when the military Jeep needed to be driven in waist-high water"
