Hopped up jeeps and others
I hear you.
Rick saw the light, he bought a "Mustang Cobra"!

You mean something like this:

1998 Cobra

I love all these HP quotes from days past
I mean they did not have to post where they got those numbers back then
and they would post numbers taken without any accessories bolted on and at the crankshaft. Now days the numbers need to be quoted with everything bolted up, belts on and what is arriving at the dynometer at the rear wheels.

Procharger supercharger, mild motor work, LOL.
dyno'd at over 600 by the time it was said and done.
Full kenny brown racing suspension
mods on top of mods.
Back when I had more hair and less money and brains, LOL.

Y'all are real close.
He dyno'd his to 601 hp and 529 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels.
Not that he can put it to the ground, traction Limited on street tires.;)

Same with mine, was in the cobra club of america years ago.
Got to take it around the track at leguna seca at one meeting in monterey, ca.
It was too cool.

I think "Rick's" name is stenciled on the space closest to the door at "Tommy Vaughan Ford" our local SVT dealer.

When I first got it I called up the nearest dealer with an SVT certified mech. and asked how much a lube and tune would be. They said something like $350.
I laughed and hungup on them, then went to the autohobby shop on base after a stop by napa.

He does that stuff at home like us.
He spent a load on a pile of SVT Perf. Parts though.
According to Ford 690HP 620FTLBS. at the fly wheel.
So 89HP 91FTLBS. lost in the system.
Anyway it was a package deal.
I can say I was the 1st pilot over 160mph in it!:driving:

I was stopped outside Albuquerque at over 100, the state pd asked why I was in such a hurry at 2 o'clock at night. I said I just got the car, no one around and I'm on my way to CA figured this was as good a place as any. He said your in the military? I said yeah. He said there isn't another town for 50 miles that way, drive safe. Gave me my license and walked away. This was Jan 2002.

Know how you feel Brock...

LOL - 1970 Transmission Am - 455... Going home from Orlando to Bradington... Young and dumb!

Stopped for 110 (or so) in a 55 (on I4 between Lakeland and Tampa)! My passenger (the owner of the TA - I had just referbed the engine for him) flashed his badge (undercover DA agent for the Sarasota PD)... Got off with a 'courtesy' spank... WHEW!!! They were ready to cuff me and drag me in... LOL - Not the first time though... :)

I made a trip out of atlanta late one night with a buddy on a couple crotch rockets.
As we passed under an overpass I saw a glint of light out the corner of my eye.
I looked back and saw the familiar lights of a police car come on. I look down and
see that I'm over 100, I think 20 over and it's off to jail. So I jam the throttle and
disappear. 20 min later my buddy rolls up next to me on base and says:

"Where the hell did you go? I looked back saw the cop, looked over to see what
you was gonna do and all I saw was a tail light in the distance."

I asked what did the cop do? He says he turned off his lights and backed into
his hiding spot to wait for the next guy he could actually catch. LOL

now I just want to claw my eyes out and call it a night.

helped you what? stand up?
