I bought new crome bezels for the pull controls and I can't figure out how to install them. Any thoughts?

the old ones just pull off (glued on) I think most of the new ones have a set screw to hold them on.

The headlights, windshield wipers, and heater fan control knobs will just pull off. Those are the three that are missing knobs in this picture.

The other three knobs for heat, vent, and defrost are glued onto the metal of the cable. I removed mine using 2 sets of pliers. I held the metal cable with one and turned the plastic knob with the other. It will break the knob FYI.

The bezzle type replacements simply sit on the end of the cable and are held in place with a screw that you tighten.

Bullseye - thanks for your post. I just bought new cables for mine, but want to put aluminum knobs that I already have on and was wondering what the best way was to get the plastic knobs off. :notworthy:

just got new heater/defrost knobs in the mail .....can anyone please show me photos or a very good diagram of where/how they hook up to the blower assembly?

Guys, I have the same question/request. I bought new knobs/pull cables and never kept track of which cable goes to which lever on the blower assembly.

Two of the cables are the same length. I know that the longest one goes to the furthest lever, but not sure if on the dash it goes to the air, temp or defrost.

Can you help me out? I posted pictures of the spots in the dash where they go, two of the closer levers, as well as the new cables themselves.
