Misc. How to remove the ignition key for wire inspection?

Hey mates! I’m facing some “loose connections” problems on my CJ6 Jeep.
Sometime while driving the indicators went off for no reason apparently. If I shake with my hand the wires behind the ignition key block, everything turns on again.

I’m struggling to get the ignition key removed, how can I do than without becoming crazy?

I can’t help ya. Everything is on the wrong side and you should be turning the key with your right hand!

Spent a couple weeks on the South island of NZ a few years ago. Driving was a bit different. Lots of cool Hilux and Cruisers down there though. Will get to Australia eventually.

Anyway, if I remember right, to remove the key ignition switch from the dash: Take a look behind the dash and see if it has a spring around the switch barrel. If it does, you have to reach around and compress the spring, while twisting.
Should probably disconnect negative battery cable first.
