I’d like to install the US Humvee Wheels on my lifted 1979 CJ7 . Need more info on rim setback issues and possible solutions through 5 lug to 8 lug adapters/spacers....

Curious on what axels you have on there

Thanks for your prompt reply:
Stock rears however I did install Moser 1 piece axles on Rear diff about 25 years ago. Have had this for 30 years now. My current TSL stampers have less than 3k miles on them, though have dry rotted sidewalls.

In another 5 days I will be celebrating 37 years with having mine. Probably have had my Moser close to probably 28 years. That's a lot of tire and wheel for that axle. I don't know the answer to your question but maybe someone will. Not sure I have heard of anyone doing that. What is the weight of that combo of wheel and tires ?

i don't think they have a spacer/adapter like that but i would also caution against that as they put a lot of stress on the bearings. i would think it would a lot easier to just put an 8 lug axle in plus it will give you a lot more strength. either that or find a Humvee look a like wheel in a 5 lug pattern

Why HMMWV wheels? Do you want the run-flats or something? I would think they are too heavy for a CJ Axle, even a one-piece
