I changed the nuts in both wheels wheels today since I had slight play in the steering wheel and all the nuts were driven on with a hammer. As I was taking the passenger side apart I noticed that the spring that pops the engagement nut back into 2wd was broken. It's long enough that I doesn't slip back in, but I want to replace it. I'm have a heck of a time trying to find it. Has anyone replaced this before, and if so can you point me to where I can find one?\

Thanks.

I think we will need some pictures with this one Bud. I am guessing you are talking about the spindle nuts??

I didn't take a pic. If you remove the books that hold the bolt in you will see a gear that locks the hub to the axle. When you rotate the hub lock to 2wd, it pushes the collar back out unlocking the axle.

I think it's part of the hub and you may need to just replace the hole hub.

yea, I don't think you can buy parts for a warn hub. Do I remember those having a life time warranty or something like that??
