I have a lot of play in the shift lever and went fishing to find the problem. Apparently the PO lost the isolator and isolator clip for the shift lever, so they crammed multiple layers of 100MPH tape inside the shift lever and stuck it on called it good. :eek: Needless to say that is not what I was expecting to find when I pulled the cover plate off.
 
:laugh: :eek: :( It's amazing what some people do.
 
I would have loved to seen pics of that PO fix.
