I might have screwed up.......

I might have screwed up.......
isn't the entire reason they made YJs so that CJ7 owners would have a cheap supply of tubs when the CJ7 tubs rusted out?

Mylittlecj5 is a member here. He owns texomajeeps.com, he may have one. Or try ebay. As CJ said, it's called a flywheel dust cover or clutch housing cover.

those covers are often called inspection covers

Thanks for the help! Now, how do you guys go into water and mud, and not have the flywheel get all wet/muddy/sludgy if this is only a dust cover? Wouldn't water get in there?

they used those covers for decades, ever heard of anyone complaining about them?
Just get one on and everything will be fine. the reason they used to use them was so a mechanic could look under them to see if a clutch needed to be changed, now days most vehicles come with Autos and seeing how most of those covers eventually got lost, they do not design bell housings with them anymore

Heres that pic I promised. Mine is definately a Cj tub. Just a Joop tub though.

Bellhousing Clutch Housing Cover 3213744

Good call. I didn't realize Morris carried those. I did some research. I also didn't know the six cylinder and eight were the same.

Yea, most people find stuff leaking out not in, when your rear main is bad :)
