Ignition issues.
Same as what I have on all my Fords and CJ5 . Take it with you to the store and tell the guy you "need one of these". They'll want a year make and model. I think you'll be good to go if you tell them a '77 Ford F150 with a V8. You can take the new one out of the box and compare it to the plugs and grommet color you have on your old one to verify.

Ok, I bought that ignition module, it has the same blue slot. It also has all the same wire colors but in different order. Do I follow color or order when splicing it in?

Thanks!!!!

Now dang! You done went and asked a question that I can't answer right off the top of my head. I've never modified the wiring for one cause I always had a matching plug to snap into it. If the plug matched, it worked.

Only wiring modifications I've performed for the EICM was when I converted my CJ5 to the Ford Dura Spark II ignition with the TFI coil. The only modifying I did was splice the DS II module plugs onto the current wiring harness I made up for the Jeep.

As soon as the wife gets to the house (about 4:00pm) I'll go out there and take a gander at my set up and see if what I have in the Jeep matches what is stock in my old F150 and then get you a genuine reply.

I ain't sure all modules will have identical pigtail wiring colors anyway. That's something else I'll check. I have 5 different modules in 3 different vehicles and I know they all aren't from the same manufacturer so we'll both see if wire colors are consistent among makers. Back at cha in a few minutes...........
