That looks sharp. You should be proud. Love the old school aluminum wheels. The tires look like a bargain for $100. I bought some all terrains for mine awhile back for the same price. I knew they werent going to be great off road but I was really disappointed. Their junk. Hope you have better luck.

The wet sanding and bedliner are done, and I'm starting to put it back together for the last time!

I'll put up more pics later this week once I've buffed it all out.

Most of the buffing is done. It's really freakin hot out to be doing this!

wanna come over and do mine?

looking very good, wish mine was a little close to your stage.

Thanks. I'll really be glad when it's done. I've been burned out from working on it for a while. I just want to drive it. :)

Before and After so far:

wow! that is impressive.
takes alot of time and $$. someday... maybe...

Here are some pics from last weekend. Since these were taken, I've installed most of the wiring, the steering column, and a few other odds and ends. I'm down to installing the brake and fuel lines, gas tank, emergency brake cables, the rear drive shaft, and the battery tray and she'll be driving! :D

I took a few new pics tonight while working on the wiring.

The under hood wiring is all done, complete with a new fusable link from the alternator. All the grounds have been run with 10 gauge wire and soldered connectors. Other than the dash lights, all the other lights work including the high beams, backup lights and signals. I think my dimmer switch is the problem with the dash lights. Guess I'll be ordering a new headlight switch. I now have emergency brakes, and I'm halfway through plumbing the hydraulic brake lines.

I also need to solve a problem with the temperature gauge. It's pegging hot when I turn the key on. I read that this might be a ground problem, but I tried hooking up a bullet proof ground to the gauge cluster and it didn't make any difference.

Any suggestions?

I'd love to test drive it before I leave for the lake next weekend, but I don't know if I'll have enough time to finish things up because I need to spend a little time getting the boat ready.

I installed the metal plates between the fiberglass tub and the body mounts. Now the roll bar is securely tied into the frame and mounts. I installed the seats and a new headlight switch. I drilled the hole in the firewall for the cluch rod and hooked it up. It's a little stiff. Guess I'll have to learn to live with that. My new temp and fuel gauges are scheduled to be delivered today so I'll be able to put the gauge cluster back in. This time I'll make sure the ground is really good before I tuen the key. The seats sit a little high for the big steering wheel. There's not a lot of leg room. I might go with a smaller diameter steering wheel.

It's starting to look like it might actually drive soon!

Momma-Mia she looks hawt. You are doing a great job.

Over the weekend I installed my brake lines, identified the remaining wiring harness plugs under the hood(4wd switch, washer pump, and brake warning light), and I removed the broken off bolts for the driver's front spring hanger and steering box bracket, and then installed the box and new grade 8 bolts. All that's left is to install the new drop pitman arm and I'll have steering! Once I make new brackets for where the brake hoses meet the steel lines, I'll be able to fill and bleed the brakes. I also installed the new fuel sender in the powder coated gas tank and polished up the aluminum diamond plate skid plate so I can install them and run the fuel line.

Wow, a gas tank steering and brakes! Pretty soon I'll have all the modern conveniences! :D

looking sweet :chug:

Over the weekend, I finished the steering, brakes, and gas tank/fuel lines. Took her for her first drive around the neighborhood! :D

I tack welded the frame mount spare tire carrier together. I would have finished it but I need to pick up more arc welding rods.

I'll be installing the seat belts tonight and I have an appointment to get the exhaust done Wednesday. Next stop, the DMV!

Wow. That thing is looking great!!! I'm new here and was wondering how many hours do you think you've put into it total. A cost and hours breakdown would be VERY interesting to see!!!

WTG on that beautiful rig :D
