Jeep Flakes and Craigslist
you know, it really burns my buns every time I read rare in the title of CL adds.

Most of the time that is code for i have a heap of rust and I am not going to budge on my ridiculous price.

Further more it really heats me up when I see that on a wagoneer sale (probably my fav jeep model) The SJ wagoneer was made from 63 to 91. Thats almost 30 years, how rare can they be.

I know the feeling. I've been looking at CL for a used truck, I read an ad for a dodge diesel truck with a 6 speed manual Transmission , the guys says it's a "rare" truck because of the 6 speed. There's 4 other's with 6 speeds (same years), none of them are listed as "rare".

It's just a poor attempt at salesmanship, trying to talk up the product and by association the price.

I never realized just how many things are rare untill I started reading CL :D

Everyone with a 5.9 cummins says its rare and hold on if its a manual! None of which have pulled anything and babies too. Most of these folks will also tell you if they have the "good" block and if the frontend has been rebuilt yet.
