I have come across a nice set of full steel doors off a late model YJ for cheap. I have a '76 CJ7 . I am curious what it will take for the strike plate to work. I notice the plate used on the later tubs won't easily mount to my old tub. Anyone done this? I really want to use these doors but not sure how to close them! Thanks in advance.

Note: I read the sticky about doors which was very helpful but I notice from various pics the striker plates for YJ doors has a curve in it to conform to the later tubs. On my '76, that area of the tub is flat. That's where my question comes from. If anyone has a pic of modifying a striker plate for an early tub that would help out A LOT!

I just purchased a set of steel doors and am in the same boat as you. I found these and they look close but still not flat like we would need. I think I will have to fabricate something myself.
