Lift kit Install

Lift kit Install
well cancel the lift kit, just got an email from 4wd and somehow the lift got cancelled off my order. they didnt take anymoney out for it so we are good there.

this might be a good thing, after i ordered the lift i kept seeing "you want the least amount of to fit the biggest amount of tire" so with that said and me back on the hunt for a lift, what do yall think? 2.5" lift with replacement shackles? or what configuration would fit 33"s

2.5" should fit 33's nicely.

See my sig pic, these are 33's with no spring lift, and small shackle only lift.

They rub off road, and don't have enough clearance, but with 2.5" lift, it should be nice.

A lot of places say 3" min to run 33's... But it seems to me they are exaggerating slightly...

I am thinking about a lift also. I would like to run 33" tires. I thought I would go with a YJ spring upgrade. They are suppose to be more flexible than the CJ spring. Then use something like 2.5" skyjackers springs. Mine is a short CJ5 so I think I will have to do something about my drive line. what do you all think about that setup?:poke:Mine handles great on the road and I would like to keep it that way. but I would like a little more clearance.

Here is a picture of my 82 CJ7 , I have the Pro-Comp 2.5 lift only with the stock shackles. I has the BFG KM2 33x12.50x15's. I have plenty of room as you can see from the pictures. Hope this helps! Good luck on the 1000 mile trip, and Thank You for serving our country!
