I have a question about installing a lockbox for my cj7 not only a center console one but those under the seat types what you folks recommend and any input?

I'm kinda a new guy with Jeeps, but after spending so much time underneath my 80 CJ7 with lifted 35's, I'd swear there's room under the floor and above the back axle for a couple of 50 Cal ammo boxes. I have some 30-06 ammo boxes; I think I'll slip one under there and just get an idea. I'll post a pic if I can hold it in place long enough.

There are a few outfits that make lockboxes for the CJ, do a search online.

Ya post some pics for sure. and its mostly for my ccw since some places won't allow you to care them around here was seeing if anyone came up with anything interesting

Since the back seats are usless on the '70's CJ's on both of mine I've had over the years I had a local HVAC shop weld up some for me for $60 unfinished! A can of Rustoleum and Dynamat makes for a great tool/locker box in place of the back seat and excellent bass response if you add a pair of 6x9's to the front.
