I would suggest something, anything, that would secure your gas can. Having that thing rolling around could become real exciting real fast.:eek:

there are lots of options there and not a real bad idea to mount it on the outside.:cool:
 
Gas can is secure. It will not be a permanent fixture there, just put in a new tank, hoses, sending unit, and little box for the nozzle and my brand new sending unit doesn't work so that is just there till I decide to drop the tank again and fix it.

I like how you bolted through the can. I have made a few by welding a piece of round stock that I worked down and drilled a hole for a lock in. But it is a pita to not burn through an ammo can.. :eek:

I made a board that goes from wheel well to wheel well and locks into the slope on the seat and the tailgate.

It means I can put tools etc in there they are out of sight and more importantly can not fly forward and hit someone in the head in an accident and a hole drilled in the tyre carrier latch allows a padlock to lock it up not completely secure but more then the average opportunity thief will deal with
