Hi All!

A while back I installed a lokar shifter for my th40 Transmission . I then purchased the LED indicator with boot and the LED decoder box with the n/s switch and Backup light switch. (I previously replaced the entire wiring harness with EZ wiring, but it didn't include these switches.)

To make a long story- shorter, I just need to know where the GREEN wire from the Lokar N/S relay wires into and the BLACK wire too... (The instructions seen in the photo) says to put the green wire into the starter switch.. (IN English, does that mean cut the wire that is on top of the starter swtich (starter switch relay ignition wire) put in between the two wires, and then put the black wire on the other side? Or Not...
I've included some pictures...

Any help would be much appreciated!

:notworthy:

PS... Pictures of actual parts (not diagrams) help me the best!:p

Anybody? Hopefully this is not a stupid question... I am not the best at electrical.. :(
(I previously wired the relay (green) wire to the Starter relay (the one in the pic) to the Starter ign wire (on top of the starter relay) . I then wired the (black) wire from the relay to the other end of the Starter relay-other end of the wire.. Was this correct? I then tried to start the jeep and the Starter Relay made a lot of noise but the engine didn't crank...

Did I wire this wrong?

Here is my starter motor. It only has one thick (4 gauge) cable running from the solenoid/relay side post to it.

I will be taking off the motor today to inspect if it needs to be cleaned and/or replaced.

A little history: I bought the CJ7 last year and I could tell it was taken through streams etc. (Duh, I know, its a jeep! :) ) But they never rinsed the undercarriage off after off-roading.:(
