I'm very lucky if the fact I don't live in the 'rust-belt' and my CJ has a garage to 'live' in.
Also, once a year I use my pressure washer and do a 'deep' washing of the engine bay, frame and underbody.

August 1986, 29 years. It's had a garage ever since I've owned it but it sure is showing it's age. And yes, very few original parts but I still love it!!

Congrats LG. I keep seeing all the Jeeps that pass through some owners and begin to question my own rational. I still have the first two I bought, the 68 CJ5 purchased from the local Chevy dealer in May 1969 and my 3B, bought from the local welding shop in March 1972. Hope to see them both at 50 years ownership.

You mentioned that you've been in a few roll overs. Was this CJ part of any of those?

Only ONE. Not that slow of a learner:D

And yes, it was the CJ5 , occurred in January 72. It came out of that with essentially all new sheet metal, along with the heavy duty rear axle housing. Basically reset the clock on it. It helped a lot having a friend as the main local Jeep Dealer parts person-made it just as cheap to replace the tub and fenders as have a body shop pound them out.

Had mine on it's passenger side once. I was driving :o
The 2 full roll overs I was in, was when I was a right-seat passenger.

Gees guys I’m feeling bad, I’ve only owned my current CJ for about 20 years or so…. :notworthy: We had a Jeep dealer in Portland, OR back in the 1970s named Jarvis Jeep. Every time they answered the phone it was, “Beep Beep Jarvis Jeep”. Try saying that a 100 times a day.
