Mechanical fuel pump.

Who makes a good one? Over the years I don't know how many I've been through. I know I've been through two Napa pumps in the last five months.
It had sit for a year but when I bought the first Napa pump was putting the jeep back on the road. Since it went bad so quick I took it back for an exchange and then the exchange went bad.I generally have good luck with Napa parts myself. Does the rig sit unused for stretches of time? My boat had a mechanical pump and I would have to replace it every year at the start of summer after sitting for 6 months.
Since my jeep has an auxiliary tank under the driver seat I have two fuel filters. One for each tank by the selector valve and another up by the carburetor. You can thank ethanol which is in most gas these days, if it sits for long periods the alcohol can dry out the diaphram. Also make sure you run a filter before the pump keeps grit out out the pump. If you are going let it sit for awhile use Seafoam or Stabil in the tank.
They just quit pumping gas. Right now it will just give a little squirt of gas about every 30 seconds. Not enough to keep it running. I use the clear fuel filters so I can see it when it's not working.
Ask for the 'Gold' line when at NAPA.
What's the issue you are having with NAPA fuel pumps?
LG
At the moment I'm only using the reserve tank and it is full. On this one it doesn't siphon the gas up a sending unit like the rear tank, the gas drains out the bottom.I would give NAPA one more try.
I have had one of their FP's in my Jeep for almost 20 yrs.
Have you confirmed that you are not pull'n a vacuum in your tanks?
Do you have the same issue when you confirm the tanks are full?

There is no markings on the Napa pump. I have five old ones in a box and two of them are Carter and one is Delphi. There is only one of them that is dirty and looks old and it's also not marked.NAPA usually sells name brand parts.
They have been my go to store for decades.
Is there a makers name on the FP housing?
