I recently bought a 1976 CJ5 with no engine or Transmission . I have a T-150 Transmission and Dana 20 Transfer Case and a 2.3l turbo diesel engine out of a ford ranger I’d like to adapt to it to make it drive able. Has anyone else out there done this combination? And reasons why I shouldn’t do this? I originally planed to put the Transmission Transfer Case out of the ford ranger in the jeep but the front output shaft is on the wrong side so that’s why I’m thinking about using the T-150 . Any advice is appreciated!
