Hi everyone,

I normally hang out on the other site, but figured that if I'm going to have an account here, I might as well share what I have. I bought this CJ5 from the original owner's family after he passed away. I've owned it for a bit over 10 years now and have added almost 50,000 miles to it....it now has 124,000 miles on the clock. Per the folks at Jeepers Jamboree , it's one of 15 painted in 1977 7P Lime Green. It is a great vehicle and has never broken down on me once. The original Carter YF runs great, as does the original Prestolite dizzy. Of the original 15, I've only been able to count for 3, including mine. Here are pics, the last two are the other two 7P CJ's.

Very nice! :chug:
Do still have the CB?
What year is the 401?
I do still have the factory optional 23-channel Kraco CB and it still works great. If you're asking what year the 401 engine is, I have no idea, that's the 1976 CJ5 that was for sale on Craigslist in Montana several years ago. The only thing that's still original on that rig is the engine compartment paint, which is still the original 7P Lime Green.

It's great you still have that CB.
You have a good collection of 7Ps.

I couldn't imagine putting a 401 in a 83.5" wheelbase, or even 93.5"....wheelies? I bet it hauls, given the HP-Weight ratio.

Ahh, I thought the CJ5 401 pictured was another of yours...

I dynoed @ 707 HP using a lot of go fast goodies. It has now been detuned for off-road use but still very healthy.

No, and the very last picture, the one with the snowplow, is the third 7P CJ that is rotted away in upstate New York. 707hp, jumpin’ Jesus on a pogo stick, I’ll stick to my Corvette when I wanna go fast 😁IMG_7545.webp

Nice I couldn't imagine owning a CJ that clean and original

Very nice! Love the original radio and CB.

A little ditty on identifying a '76 really quick: The previous generation CJ5 had them too, but 1976 was the only year of the next generation to continue to have the extra recess in the body, just above the rear wheel opening, on both sides. It's a carryover from where the soft top bow used to connect.
