Build Thread My 85 CJ7
Spent 3hrs trying to put windshield back in..:confused: final looked up part number to find out Morris got me the wrong year seal:mad::mad:
All wiring is done-- hood back on---windshield frame on ---adding misc stuff
Should be done soon:D

Sorry to hear about you breaking your w/s. When you put it up to the frame the whole gasket should fit up against the pichweld if it doesn't the glass is to big and you will never get it in. Do you have a factory frame or after market? I have seen a lot of after market ones that you will not get a w/s in with out cutting it down.

Not sure what happened- its the same w/s I takeout -first the seal tore then a small crack in the corner
 
If it is all the same parts then it could have been just old glass that has gotten weak the next time you do it make sure to use soap to make it slippery.
