Some pictures of my pit. Its made from a 250 gallon butane tank, the firebox and smoker are made from a AMC 150 gallon air tank. The fire box is 2 feet in diameter and 2 feet 6 inches long.

The cooking surface is 6 feet 9 inches long. The most I have ever cooked at one time was 90 pounds of chicken quarters.

Beautiful!

There is nothing better then a good BBQ and a cold beer! I love smoking a good butt or briscuit... Did you build it all your self? How does it tow? When are you heading to S Ga? :D

Yes, I built it myself. Before I got into computers I worked in the welding field for 14 years. All of the welding was done with a $200 dollar sears floux core wire feeder.

The trailer needs a longer tongue. It can get a little squirrelly at around 65 mph. I dont pull it very far and when I do I usually drive around 60 - 65 mph.

When I cook for just a couple of people, this is what I use.

That is a great grill! I love my Weber gas but when I want great 'real' taste - I always fire up the Weber kettle...

About your trailer, have you ever tried adding some tongue weight? Tie about 50 or so pounds to the mast of the trailer and see how it tows. When ever I build a trailer, until I get the balance correct, I tie one gallon milk jugs filled with water to the mast, then drive and test it. Then pour out water until I find the least amount I can tow with then add another 30 ponds back in.

I like this grill:

Gonna build me one from an old 360 or a 401, LOL

Wow, great looking pit you all had there. I always wanna build a good one myself, but I just dont have the skills required to make one, especially portable one like what kev has. They are simply marvelous and I like it very much.

There's nothing better than a good barbecue and a cold can of beer.

I need to borrow this on Saturday! Please be here by 10 am. Thank you :)

That is amazing. I have always wanted to own my own smoker. There is nothing better than slowly smoked pork ribs. I'm also loving the portable aspects you got for that! That should be awesome for tailgaiting parties.

I am in the market for a new smoker, mine is 3 years old and almost burnt out, bought it from BBQ galore, what a mistake, I keep going online for plans to weld one up myself and have a few parts companies earmarked but somehow I have to much on my plate and will probably just buy one again.
