Careful when you push the tank back up into position. It’s really easy to pinch the rubber fuel lines against the body’s underside cross channel.
You can see it from driver’s side. Ask me how I know😏

Your not the only who's garnered that information from experience. A trip home from Paducah Kentucky to Central fl took forever. I replaced the fuel pump, the carburetor, the fuel filter and more because at highway speed the CJ would die. It turned out to be a pinched line from the tank from when I changed out the tank pickup /.sending unit.
Not a good time but a learning time... :jeep:
