A house down the street in my neighbor hood just sold. Yesterday my friend at the other end of the road came over to talk for a bit. He told me that the new house had a white CJ all lifted and built sitting in the driveway. I couldn't believe it. CT doesn't have that many old Jeep driving around anymore like when I lived out west. So I was going to get on my Mountain bike and go for a ride after i went swimming with the family. Well, we were getting out of the pool and i heard a nice V8 in my culdesac. I look through the window and see the white CJ turning around and heading back the other way. He must have been checking out his neighbors. I looked at my wife and told her it was time to go for my ride. I headed up and saw the new owner putting his trash out so I stopped over and said hi. We talked for about 30 minutes and he is a certified CJ nut!! We had a ton in common including be ex military and he even has a kid with one on the way like me. I am stoked to have a guy in the same area that loves these old Jeeps as much as I do. He was siked as well and can't wait to do some garage time.
Here is a quck shot of his Jeep in the garage. Crappy pic but I will get more and get him on this site ASAP. It is a 76 CJ5 with an older Chevy small block and a Dana 44 rear. It has 33 inch tires with about 3 inches of lift and Metal Cloak highline fenders, glass tub and no top. The Jeep is rough but sweet.
