I've been checking craigslist and ebay looking for another CJ to add to the collection, when I ran across this. Mine is mostly stock and this seems like a good trade up (my wife can have my old one). Was wondering what you guys thought about the work done and the price. (Which seems really low compared to others with less impressive mods).

This Jeep!

Just wondering what you guys think before I go dropping the cash.

Cheers :chug:

Your looking at 8 grand in parts just to build that jeep....
Axels. 2000
Wheels and tires 1800
See where this is going

Look around before buying something though

Looks good to me.. Every thing seems to be done correctly, SOA with decent High steer, headers are not beat with a hammer to clear the steerning, the only thing I would check really good it the clearance between the exhaust, Transmission and drive shaft on the passenger side. when a 727 is backed up with a Dana 300 the drive shaft will hit the Transmission pan unless you have at least 4" of lift under it. being its SOA you have at least 6.. I normally value a jeep by the sum of all its parts. like stated by fishinfool theres atleast 8g in parts on it 1 tons can go for 2000-2500 all day, now add the fact that they are narrowed and the price goes up a bit more. The only other thing I would inquire about would be ladder bars for it.. I didnt skimmed over the ad and didnt see any thing about ladder/anti wrap bars.. Not saying he didnt add em I just didnt see em. To me its not a deal breaker but with the big tires, motor and SOA you will get a ton of axle wrap.

Id have no probelm picking it up for 8g

Those are common rust areas on a YJ. I guarantee you that tub has bigger rust issues than it seems if it is showing through and you'll need to deal with it soon. Use that as leverage in your negotiations. If they don't believe you offer to stick a screwdriver through the rust spots. The rear mount in the corner where its rusted has already probably broken free or won't come out without cutting into the body.

It seems like a decent deal though.

No the rust is no worse than it looks . I sandblasted it to find out where it ended. I'm only selling it to build the one I just bought. The torque arm is not on it in the pics on eBay. There are more pics in my profile. It's not selling anyway so it will sit in the corner where the yellow one is while I'm building that one. Any bets on how many Busch light cans fit in a jeep?
