Ok, I'm gonna get flamed, but here goes.

I want the tires big and mean because it looks cool. My Jeep is a weekend toy that I put the kids into and drive around town and to the beaches. I do some light mud puddle jumping, that's about it.
Suspension flex not a big worry as long as it can handle the occasional speed bump.

There I said it.

I have been laughed at in other Jeep forums for admitting that my Jeep is used this way, so let me say I'm a true Jeep lover and have been for 30 years. There is nowhere here legal to ride off road and I am lucky enough to own a rust free, solid, everything works, fun, mostly original, V8 CJ. I'm chicken of busting it all up the way I did my last 2 CJ's. I want to keep this nice like it is the rest of my life and have neither the money or desire to replace axels, etc. from the carnage of heavy off road driving.

So I want some big tires because I like the way it looks.
No flaming allowed! :)

You want looks! Kewl! Super Swampers are the ones you need! :)

You will NEVER get treated that way here... :)

I've heard that those mickey thompson baha's will get eating alive if your driving them on pavement, i havent heard if they do well in mud or snow but they look good!

I have had them for years and my son uses his CJ as a daily driver with no problems at all. As for mud and snow they perform the same as the BFG KM's did when I had those. We do at least one snow run a month during the winter. The rest is at Mojave during the winter. I flat tow mine and I have around 30,000 miles so far and they still look great except for the chunks missing from the rocks.

The M/T are three ply side walls just like the KM2's and others. Pay more for the same tire because of the name or compare rubber durameters, tread pattern and sidewall ply's and get the same for less. Cooper tires are also a good tire. I have friends running these and they are performing well.

Shop and compare and check the road side warranty before just buying for name.

IMO 400 is way to much for the hogs if they only have 1/2 the tread left.
As far as the bfg a/t's well they just don't have the wow factor.

Well, I guess I can take a hint. Decided to take the free one, and keeping my 31's at least until they need replacing..

thanx
