Need reviews on CJ aftermarket windshield frames please

I paid $220.00 and free shipping. My Jeep is a 67, but I bought a frame and glass for a 68-75. Mainly for the extra height. I'm 6'-5" and I know It will be a problem. I had already sandblasted, welded, bondoed and painted the old one. Now I'm wondering if I should have just found new glass and used it.

I can tell you one thing for sure. If the glass won't fit inside the opening with a little room to spare for the rubber seal, then it won't work.

Just to be accurate I looked up what I paid and it was 114.50 free shipping. Got the glass installed today and it looks pretty good.

When I installed mine it worked fine for a while but the frame was such thin metal -better than a pop can but that's about it- the wipers and rods were stronger and began to torque the frame. I did not realize it until the rods inside the frame bent and poped the brass pivot points.

To solve this I put in some large washers on the back side of the wiper points inside the frame. It gave the wiper points more of a base and solve my issue.

Thanks for that. I have a new linkage kit ordered along with a new motor and cover. I'll find some washers before I put it all together.

No problem! Once you get the frame you'll see how big it needs to be..the more surface area you can create the better. You may need to drill the hole out a bit to fit thru the wiper mounts/pivots
