Hello Guest, we are proud to now have our Wiki online that is completely compiled and written by our members. Feel free to browse our Jeep-CJ Wiki or click on any orange keyword when looking at posts in the forum.
Glad the write up helped you... I did it so hopefully future jeep owners will get something out of it... the 2 little Jeep owners currently are all in PINK, but I think as far as I can go with Tab's Scrambler is White and Garnet... they will have to imagine if they mixed the 2, they would get pink.
HE LIVES... barely, but I am alive.
Been sick for 6 weeks... SIX WEEKS.
The cough was so bad I thought I broke a rib hacking.
More stuff came out of my lungs than I thought could possibly be in there.
So glad I quit smoking 15 years ago... probably wouldn't have coughed out a lung if I had still been smoking...
Now that you all don't feel pity for me as I am sure you all are just as sick as this cold is one of the worst ones we have seen in years.... I GOT TO WORK ON THE JEEP!
Found a dash pad as well, but it isn't all original as I thought, it is sprayed, so that sucks, but all in all, progress is being made.
I hope to play with the motor, bellhousing, tranny combination this weekend and cut up the skid plad and maybe drop it all in and then some driveshafts, etc.
Once all that is in, perhaps the 4:1 kit in the Dana 300 ... but now I am just getting way ahead of myself.
ENJOY.

PS> I have an entire 1986 disc brake setup, some parts from the 78 front disc setup, and an entire AMC20 big brake rear 11" brakes for sale if anyone needs anything.
6 months... man time files.
Went wheeling, baby is now 1 and walking and no more bottles!
Oldest is out of diapers, finally!
I have bought another Scrambler and a CJ7 and tore them apart and made some progress on keeping parts, selling parts, etc.
I have a Scrambler rolling chassis together for sale if anyone is interested, it is up on CL in NH, not sure if anyone would want it, so if you do, pm or email me.
I got the body on the frame a while ago and scored some 1/2 doors, and once I sell the other Scrambler and finish insulating the garage, I will have space to work on the Scrambler this winter... phew, 6 onths in 4 paragraphs.
1983 cj7 , six cylinders , 5 speed , 2.5 inch skyjacker suspension lift , 2 inch body , 35 x 12.50 x 15's ,one piece axles , just bought this cj after PO stored for the past 25 yrs ,
Not much going on with the Scrambler these days... things got very busy towards the end of the year... I know there is no excuses, but I have been somewhat busy with home and life. I also haven't been on too much lately, just too busy with work.
1) Got a 4 post lift, which is cool, so I could put up a vehicle and get my in-laws car underneath... worked out well, I got 1/2 the money towards the lift and they get one winter of storage while they build a new house
2) Split/Cut/Stacked 5 cord of grapple load wood and stacked wood for the winter while getting a new wood stove and getting it all in place.
3) Played with the new tractor to get the new snow plow setup on the bucket loader... works awesome, just a lot of work to get it dialed in.
4) Death... sucks... won't get into it here, but just a bad time overall for my family. Very sad times, but we got through it
5) Getting all the Jeeps winterized and put away for the winter time... this suprisingly takes a very long time.
6) Got extremely involved and frustrated with a "free" pellet gun... it is amazing how long you will work on something to get it to work when you have no idea what is wrong with it. It gets in your head and you just "have to fix it!" No matter what.
7) My little one had eye surgery... not a lot of fun, but all is good.
I think that is about all my excuses for not working on the rig... oh yeah, I got another one that I have been playing around with... RHD CJ7 1983
