New battery suggestions

My battery isn't holding a charge so now time to buy a new one. Autozone has 110 plus tax so was wondering if there are any other reccomemdations or sitesto refer me to. Thanks!!!

What would be minimum specs for new battery? There is no a/c, radio. Just an inline 6 and believe is T-4 .

I have heard that the Duralast batteries are pretty good. From what I have seen, if you want a battery to last, have good secure clean connections. I would suggest using copper or brass marine style clamps with at least #4 wires.

How close is Wal-Mart to you?
Have used their batteries for years with no issues.
Get the biggest battery that will fit your battery box, with the highest CCA rating.

I agree with Torxhead, even though I have 1/0 cables, copper connectors terminals and lead terminal clamps. Copper and brass beats lead.

I'd add that Sears has an awesome replacement program.

I'm using a Diehard Platinum batteries in all my vehicles. I've never had a failure, but I do adhere to a 4 year duty cycle.

I use an Intimidator gel battery. Paid $175.

I'm a big believer in the Autozone Duralast battery. Mine have outlasted several other manufacturers batteries. Remember, here in the southwest any battery that lasts 4 years or more is money in the bank. My 72 month batterys last about 5 years, I get a new battery, they fork over ~$35.00 on warrentee. Seems like a darned good deal to me.

The red Optima in my Jeep is 8yrs old and still works as new.

I had 7 years on a 72 month Napa battery in my 8. Replaced it before my last desert trip just for cheap insurance. I have Autozone batteries in my 06 F250 Powerstroke and cant get more than 2-3 years out of them.
