i have 33's now and plan on 38's after some sort of lift this summer so will stock axels be my weak link?

If you try to go to 38's you will open a great big can of worms.

At that point you will be soa and dana 60's. Keep the 33's and life will be good.

if you plan on keeping the AMC20 you might want to truss it they have week axle tubes, and i still wouldn't try 38's without swapping out both the f/r axles especially with a V8.
