Hi Guys just finished installing my new rims and seats on my 85 Jeep CJ -7.
I am very happy with the look with the 2.5 inch lift. Next is the sound system and subwoofer. Let me know what you think.

Cheers Brian, :chug:

looking good :chug: i like the crome rims. i need to get some yj seats. do they bolt right up?

Looks good.:chug:
Hows the new lift ride?

Thanks Dalefan88 & Old Dog for your compliments. :)

Dale the YJ seats bolted right up to my seat risers without any problem. I thought I would have to do some fabricating, but they went on real slick. One cheaper way of getting replacement seats, plus they recline to boot. Lucky there is a jeep wrecking yard less than 100 miles from me. One CJ5 and the rest are all YJ's to choose from. Craigslist is another good source. Hope this helps.

Cheers, Brian :chug:

Nice CJ I have also done the seat swap but I am using the YJ risers that required some fabbing :chug:

I gotta get me some of those seats.
Just when i thought i was done spending money a you get me all excited again.

Looks great! :chug:

new to the long list..... yj seats lol.

After seeing those in there makes me think the same thing. My rear is a fold n tumble outta one anyway.

The fold and tumble are nice. My YJ rear seat is a fold and tumble. I am glad my jeep has been a bit of an inspiration to a few here for the YJ seat swap.
The swap was cheap and easy, lot's of YJ's out there in the scrap yard.

How much did you pay for the seats?

I found some for 50 bucks each, drivers seat is worn.

Hi Jet, that's a good deal, my driver seat has a small tear on the seat from being worn, but my passengers seat and rear seat are very good condition. I paid $300 for all my seats (front, back). If you can get a pair of seat for $100 dollars thats really good. I like the fact the YJ seats recline, new reclining seats are expensive.

Cheers, Brian

Hey it looks nice!
What are your new seats out of or what brand are they?
Did you use the stock seat brackets to mount them?

Hi Reko, they are factory seats out of a Jeep YJ and I used the stock CJ seat risers and they bolted right up with no fabrication.

Hey Jeep Jeep, I am glad another BC Jeeper is on here also. This Jeep CJ site is fantastic and the people on here a awesome, with their help and advice. Yes they are from Gary's in Maple Ridge, he had a lot of selection and his prices were good. I picked up all my seats front and back for $300 dollars. I live in Agassiz BC, near Harrison Hot Springs BC. Good to hear from you. :)

Cheers, Brian :chug:

Hey Dale, your right CJ's can use many YJ parts so that is a good resource for us CJ owners. I am very pleased with my YJ seats they are very comfortable and recline. Let me know how you make out.

Cheers, Brian:chug:

I"ll have to check out bcjeepclub.ca, I didn't know about them. Thanks for this info Jeep Jeep. Gary's Autowrecking is very good, I am going to look for a good set of rear lights and seat belt buckles there soon. He only had one CJ5 in the yard and all the rest of the stuff was YJ's and some domestic trucks.
