Hi this is my 1973 CJ5 im in the process of bring back after years in storage. AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l straight six, refurbished brakes new tyres, new exhaust manifold, carb rebuild it runs like a top. It does have a fully galvanised tub so not original body but very good condition.

That is one good looking red CJ5 . You said the tub is galvanized. Who did you purchase it from? Many replacement tubs do not have real tailgates. Also, why 44 below the left tail light?

looks like 4x4, but if no lockers it’s more like 2x2

It’s my first cj. I bought it local to me, been stood along time had it about 2 months. Been cleaning the tub today. Not going for a nut bolt resto as want to keep it on the rd and use as much as possible.

Looks like you got yourself a really nice CJ. Just having that galvanized tub with a tailgate, is worth the effort of getting her running again.

The guy I use for parts in UK has a galvanised tub for a CJ8 . He thinks they were made in Egypt as jeep had a joint venture there. The welding and construction are v good quality
