Hi everyone, I'm Arjan de Koning from Waarder, Netherlands, new to JeepCJ.com, but not new to Jeep CJs. I bought my 1977 CJ7 in 1989. The Jeep was in very poor condition. It took me over two years to restore it. Since 1992, the CJ7 "DESPERADO" has been my daily driver. I've now driven it for 750,000 kilometers. In 2022, I bought my CJ8 ; it was a barn find; the Jeep hadn't been driven for 25 years. With some fresh gasoline and a separate electric fuel pump, it started immediately. The brakes, Transmission , and clutch still worked, so I drove the Jeep home under own power. The CJ8 was completely original except for the LPG conversion. I started restoring it, but the condition was disappointing. After three years, I'm still working on it. I hope to be on and off the road again in the summer of 2026.
