Im a 4x4 newbee and the jeep has a iron duke but want to have a little off the road trail fun and camping also involved anyone??

Your best bet will probably be Barnwell mountain off road park in Gilmer Tx. I think they have about 1800 acres there, open on the weekends.

Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area

You will have to have a Texas off highway vehicle sticker to run around the park.

That place looks like fun!

I like how it's surrounded by trees - feels like in the forest.

Post some pics when you go!

When the weather warms up a bit I am going to head over here for a weekend. About a 3 hour drive from Dallas.

Superlift Off Road Vehicle Park - Hot Springs

Arkansas has some very very nice camp grounds.

From what I hear from a buddy that went there, you will have lots of fun there. Sounds like they have some trails that will challenge you and your cj.

I have heard the same, I thank you for sharing this. It is a much better reference than I had.:D

Superlift is just plain awesome. I wheeled there several times when I still had my JK.
Here's a pic of my JK before I sold it. @ superlift

I am going up in May with my local club. It will be my CJ's first trip there.
