Oil leak

Hi guys I’m new to the forum. Hoping for some advice on my CJ7 . Have a 83 CJ7 w/AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l I changed the oil pan gasket and rms. The problem is it doesn’t leak when idling. It can take down the road and come back and have oil on pan from front to back can not figure where it might be coming from. Any advice would be very helpful thx.Sid

Welcome aboard.

Are you sure it's coming from the oil pan?
Lots of guys have leaks from the valve cover gasket.

The other thing you mentioned with it coming front to back on the pan could be the timing cover gasket/seal

Ck valve cover and besure you have the correct PCV valve.
You sure it ain't tranny oil?
