Hello folks, I am new to the forum but am a big Jeep fan. My question is have any of you been able to find the old type stamped steel wheels for a CJ7 . I am wanting to put a set of 7.00-15 old school mud/snow tires on my rig but have had hell finding the wheels. Thanks for any info you may have. Mike

factory should be 15x8 they make aftermarket but they don't have the holes for the center caps

Took me a couple years looking on CL and finally a set of 5 fell into my lap, with only 2 front center cap, but I just used my originals. Almost nothing on CL these days though.

Thanks for the replies. I found some Bart wheels that are 15x7 but they are on a 3 month back order. They look good but still not that vintage look. 15x8 I know was stock but want to run a new set of Deestone D503‘s on it that I found real cheap a couple years ago.

Got lucky and found a set of wheels on eBay. Now that the wheels are solved I am moving on to emissions and vac line elimination. I also just installed a new carburetor. She is running decent right now but I think I need to adjust the timing a bit, have a intermittent miss at idle.

Do you still have the original distributor? I installed an HEI and that took care of that problem. If you replace cap and rotor on an original, it should straighten out for a while.

Thanks, I did replace the cap and rotor. Have read I may need to advance the timing to 8. I think stock setting is 6 with the emissions and vac stuff installed. The new carb does not have the electronic choke and whatever else is plugged in to the back of it.

FWIW the wide track CJs had 15x7s. I’d contact Rudy’s CJs in OH for a set.
