I just put the front and rear axles loosely on the springs. I noticed my front shackles rub on the frame and my let rear tie plate has a crack🤨

Was putting steering unit to the frame and ran my fingers in the openings. This came out. Not one of mine and I’m original owner. It was difficult to fish out. Seems like it had to have been deliberately placed

Sometimes things dropped can get themselves into some strange places...... But you're right - would be difficult to drop a wrench and have it wiggle down into the frame...... Now it needs a prominent place on the Jeep.

I’ll find a good spot

I have the new steering and the suspension on after I get the brake lines run to the proportional valve I will add rebuilt engine. It is the original engine but converted to EFI

Sure is pretty, are you going to get rid of the plastic valve cover?

It is not the original cover. I had it replaced when engine rebuilt. It is still plastic though but is heavier. Hopefully doesn't leak like the original. I remember having the original modified in the late 1980s and it didn't leak after.

I just put the engine on it’s mounts though not tightened till I get the ground strap and negative battery cables on.

They were just for weight in the springs before I snugged them up

I can’t believe how long since I’ve been on
I had a broken dog ear on the left side of block. It was cold pinned. I have the housing on and new clutch,op, throw out, new fork which I’m hoping the ball and spring are correct. New rear brake lines.
