Frame Painting chrome grille

Ordering a chrome grille this week and decided to just purchase the Mopar one which is https://www.moparonlineparts.com/sku/82210558ad.html but curious if the paint coating would not be easily fall out compared when I will just purchase the black one and use the black as the base for the paint.

get the non chrome one if you plan to paint it. also when you go to paint it make sure you Scuff it first for adhesion
