PCV Valve help from experts

I believe the previous owner has plugged the PCV valve (see picture). If this is the case, what's the easiest way to fix the problem. I'm currently experiencing some oil spray on the hood which I believe is tied to the oil pressure and the PCV valve.

I don't need to be smog compliant since its a 72, what's the best way to get the valve working again if it is blocked? Which I think it is. I have the vacuum routing diagrams, but I would just like to know the most efficient way to get the valve operational since I believe it's tied into the oil pressure.

Well, I don't see a pcv in the pic, but I do see an egr which is also a good thing to have even in a no smog required vehicle. That egr should also have a thermal vacumn switch so it will not be used on a cold engine. If you have diagrams for the pcv install what is the issue?

Well I don't see a pic at all but You should get a new PVC valve mount it in the valve cover and run a hose from it to a vac port at the base of your carb.
