I know that my CJ has mechanical advance that works (I've checked it with a timing light with the vacuum line disconnected), but I had read that the computer controlled some aspect of how the distributor worked. Is that the case? Should I just order a DUI w/ live wires even though I just upgraded to the Team Rush upgrade?

Nope. No affect on the stock dizzy. Your spark control is relayed through your coil, advance is vacuum controlled.
