I have a CJ7 with a leaky steering box. It works fine with no "flat"" spots--it just leaks. Are the boxes easily re-sealed? Must it be removed to seal it? --at least it is a relatively easy place. Thanks
Its easier to just replace the box, as it is pretty intensive to rebuild.

But you can get a rebuild box for about $160 or so. Just be warned , some people have problems with the rebuilds and go thru a few of them to get a good one.
One other option is a Dodge Durango PS box, supposed to bolt in with few mods...
