Yes I did make new lines. I didn't want to use a separate reservoir so I came up with this. We aren't on the road yet but I believe this will work.

Yes it came from a truck that had electric power steering.
It literally has a motor in the rack and pinion. I don't think it is a stepper motor but I'm not exactly sure how it works. I have a 2016 Silverado with the same L83 engine. No power steering pump but has "EPS" or electric power steering. It isn't an electric motor that pumps fluid.
