I cut off the spring pads. a YJ axle is 60" back plate to back plate
a Scout 2 Dana 44 axle is 58" back plate to back plate.
a Yj bolt pattern is 5 on 4 1/2"
a Scout/CJ is 5 on 5 1/2" going to run differnt rims for now.
Pulled the Dana 35 out and put the Dana 44 in on the New 2 1/2 pads
got my angles and measurements side to side and tack welded it and the new shock mounts. Pulled it back out stick welded the pads and shock mounts a little at a time to not put to much heat to it.Used the stock spring pads but made it to fit the Dana 44 U bolts with a torch. Set it all back up again. with the drive shaft shocks etc.
