Build Thread proportioning valve

I am in the middle of a 74 CJ5 restore. I have finally gotten the tub back on the frame. When I went to mount the master cylinder to the firewall the brake lines were to short. the body mounts i fabricated lifted it about three inches. The question I have is there is what appears to be a proportioning valve inside the frame directly below the master cylinder and it does not appear to be factory and I was wondering what was supposed to be there. I was just going to make some longer brake lines line but at some point someone soldered together the brake lines because they are different sizes. I guess the point is im not really sure how to make this right. Any ideas?

I would just make new brake lines. Get new hard brake lines. And some fittings. Put the fittings on the end of the line and use a flaring tool like this to flare the end of the line.

Then to bend the tube you need a bender like one of these:

What you have to keep in mind is all these fittings on your jeep are different sizes. They do that so that when you are replacing a part such as the master cylinder they don't want you to accidental connect the front brakes where the rear should be.
To make sure you get the correct sizes bring the proportioning valve to the parts store. You will also want to compare the master cylinder fittings so when you get to the store you have a good idea what size those are.
