hey guys newer here and was just wanting to see what every one thought of this idea. it all started when i went to throw away a camp chair that the rivets had given away on. i was at the trashcan and the parts just spoke to me. they said we're still usefull! i started by just cutting off the nylon straps.(they always come in handy) then i got to looking at the arms. the cup holders are what grabbed my attention. i originally was thinking of just cutting out the square of material that they were on and screwing it on to the dash some where. then it hit me! they were the same length as the soft doors! so after doing some preliminary measurements, going to town with a hammer and a hacksaw, tie-ing a few pieces of twine, wah-la! my prototype soft door armrests with cup holders.

once again this is just at the prototype stage i intend to make this a lot nicer and with a new chair arm. but this is just to try it out and get ideas for when i go for the full moch up. so tell me what you think. am i crazy or is this a good idea?? hit me with those comments.
