Was selling the cj, but took her out with a friend and had too much fun. It needs some refreshing so the motor has to come out. Can I pull everything at once if I remove front end? Meaning, leave the headers and pulleys on?

That really depends on what type and make of headers you have. As far as the pulleys - yes.

Hooker comps, should I just disconnect from head and pull the motor then remove headers?

Thats what I would do the headers are going to make it a lot harder to get it out and you don't want to be banging them on stuff when pulling the motor.

Id pull them; youre going to take them off anyways.

I think youd have to get the engine way high to clear also.

A CJ engine compartment is the best engine stand in my opinion.

Disconnect the headers, pull the radiator and grill, pick up a load leveler at Ho Chi Minh Freight (it will make the job easier), then pull it all bolted together.

Done!!!! Thanks all! Now I guess I'll pressure was and scrub. The new bultear pulleys look as though they will be nice. I am having heads done, eddy performer hot dipped and the timing cover dipped. Looks as though I may get this done on he cheap? If I was going tfor a cam, what is the best choice without changing springs. I just want the lope

I'm thinking black block. I had orange in my last and I remember it getting dirty looking. Any color ideas? Also, looking for the cooling fitting on the back of intake. It looks like the filler but smaller.

Black is the best choice; looks the cleanest.

I wouldnt go any bigger than this if you want to wheel. Maybe even a little smaller. Stock springs should handle that lift as; just dont rev the :dung: out of it.

Ok, black, thanks. This jeep is just a hop in and make noise. The cams higher power range doesn't bother me. I do however like the instant low end power with the current. Off question. Can I have my water pump hot dipped? I don't want it all dirty while everything else is clean. If I buy new, how do I determine whether I need short or long?

Anyone know where I can get the coolant tube that sticks up out of the intake in the back?

Unbolt the pressure plate and that and the disc come out.

Flywheel is under that.

Id just plug that tube if you arent using it. Or you can just buy some new tube, cut the threads into it, and install it.

I think it was to heater core? How should I check the clutch, may as well make sure it's sound before reassembly. Thanks for answering my questions, I appreciate it!

If I were to just replace it, what is the exact kit I need?

Best thing to do is use either Summit or NAPA for parts. When it comes to performance stuff I use Summit. I've always gotten the right parts from them. Just use all the selection tabs on the left and you'll be good.

It should come with everything. Pressure plate, clutch disc. throwout bearing and the alignment tool. And get your flywheel turned.

Have a new flywheel, is the alignment tool kinda Long and curved?

Cleaning in today, pressure washer and mean green
