So, you guys helped me figure out what to check on the alternator concern. So on to part 2, the brakes.

Noticed that since I brought the beast back out, the brakes felt really bad. I practically have to stand on the pedal to get it to stop and the pedal goes darn near to the floor. So when I got home, decided to start with checking the fluid. Turns out, there is a leak in the booster set up.

I have upgraded to the YJ booster so we are all on the same page. Anyway, the brake Master cylinder/booster is leaking right at the junction. There is a small hole at the bottom of the MC right where it bolts onto the booster. Cannot tell 100% if it is leaking thru the hole or between the two parts.

Any ideas? Is is junk? Or is there a gasket that may have gone bad.

RJ,
there is a seal on the MC pushrod.

Napa sells rebuild kits that have the seals and o rings.

If may be more cost/time effective to put a new YJ MC on.

New M/C is on, brakes are bled thanks to a good friend and the test ride went well. YJ is back into the garage for work, so all is back to normal.

Good to hear, no brakes are a drag.

Yep, nice to be able to drive it and no have to worry about taking out someone.

Calling for some snow/ice/rain tonight thru Tuesday so should be fun to go play in.
