Hey guys, I have a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l right now with the stock manifold and engine pipe, down to a flowmaster super 44, then out the back with the stock tailpipe. I think it goes from 2" to 2.5" back down to 2".. believe the flowmaster is a bit bigger. (no cat)

Okay anyway I picked up a set of hedman headers for a good price. When I have this exhaust redone, I'm thinking of doing one of two things.. stick with 2.5" all the way from the front to the back -- or

.. should I split it into a dual output? Is there any benefit to doing that or just the thrill of having 2 tailpipes? If there's no benefit I'd rather not do it.. less stuff for the rocks to smash off.

I think I'd go 2.5" all the way back with 1 tail pipe.

x2 on the vote for a single pipe. No one (that I know of) makes a dual output exhaust for a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l , so you're looking at total custom exhaust work to get duals, that could get pricey.

Yeah that's kind of what I was hoping to hear.. I'll stick with the single pipe back.. less problems and less clutter too.
