Removing Flywheel Bolts

Removing Flywheel Bolts
I thought the T-176 first gear was syncro'd. The one I had shifted into 1st easily.

The seals themselves are $25+tax each so for three of them.... 3 of them in 5 minutes

YOU, stated 'LABOR ONLY'-Never said anydangthing about including parts because if you had-Then that's NOT, 'labor only' now is it??

Grumpy in those Grits now aren't we?

No, I was making fun of your 5 minute change out statement. I used the material cost as a common comparison reference guide.

I know, I know, you've been driving and working on Jeeps before they were even invented....

My 5 minute remark-- as that's how long it took me to change the 2 seals on a T-5 just last weekend for a friend.
BTW-Both seals were under $25.00 from NAPA.

Isn't the over all point that it's not a very expensive job so he's having a professional do it for him? It's kind of counter productive to get all emotionally invested in winning what is ultimately an insugnificant issue.

Wow, you guys are more worried about how I spend my money than my woman. Thought this was a place to get away from that.

Thank you to everyone for the supportive PMs, I appreciate it.

I'm having a really tough time getting my flywheel bolts to break loose. Just held the brand new impact wrench (Milwaukee M18 Fuel 3/8") on one bolt for probably 3 minutes straight. Not budging at all. Do I really need an impact rated more than 200ft-lb to get these off? I don't feel like spending another $200 for a different wrench

Now that's funny

3/8" won't do it-Need 1/2" impact at least with 85-90 psi line pressure.
:chug:
