I have just got hold of a 1973 CJ5 fitted with a AMC 232 i6 I have been searching the net and can find no reference to a factory fitted right hand drive the vin number says it was an export model, any info to the CJ would be cool

Engine number E697902

That is straight from the 1973 OEM Service manual. :D
 
Welcome to the Wonderful CJ World! I lived and went to school in the UK many years ago and never really understood that driving on the left thing but just an FYI – The reason we drive on the right here in The States is because when traffic got to the point we needed to make a decision on which side to use there were more Fords on the road than any other brand; since all Fords were left hand drive history was made.
 
Don't you mean "wrong hand drive" pud? :)
